Co-operatives: open to all persons without discrimination
“Co-operatives are voluntary organisations, open to all persons able to use their services and willing to accept the responsibilities of membership without gender, social, racial, political or religious discrimination.”
In a partnership with the International Labour Organization, the Alliance conducted a global and cross-sectoral survey to explore the role co-operatives play in empowering women and achieving gender equity. The results of this survey are available in the report "Advancing gender equality: The co-operative way".
