ICA 2026–2030 Strategy: Practice, Promote and Protect

The Practice, Promote and Protect strategy sets a transformative agenda for the cooperative movement from 2026 to 2030. It charts a course for strengthening cooperatives worldwide through five strategic pillars: growing awareness and membership, promoting inclusive opportunities, enabling supportive regulation, reinforcing cooperation among cooperatives, and advancing competitiveness through innovation.

At the core of the strategy lies a dynamic Theory of Change, which defines the path from cooperative values to systemic impact. This framework ensures that every initiative contributes meaningfully to our collective vision of a more democratic, sustainable, and equitable economy. The interactive Theory of Change can be explored directly on this page, allowing cooperators and stakeholders to see how the strategy translates into real-world action.
