Cooperatives Europe and the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), in collaboration with the Committee on the Promotion and Advancement of Cooperatives (COPAC), the Government Offices of Sweden, and We Effect, organised a side event at the 69th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) on 11 March, 2025.
Under the theme "Collectively Transforming Care Systems with A Multi-Sectoral Approach", this event emphasized the critical role of care work in advancing gender equality and economic prosperity globally. The discussion focused on how multi-sectoral collaboration involving cooperatives, civil society, governments, and multilateral organisations can reshape care systems, ensuring they are inclusive, fair, and sustainable.
