What to gain from attending the World Cooperative Congress online

15 Nov 2021

In a historic first, the 2021 World Cooperative Congress will be a hybrid event to take place in Seoul and online in a few days time: from 1 to 3 December with preparatory activities as of 28 November.

The Congress will feature a range of plenaries and parallel sessions, dealing with crucial issues for the movement such as the digital transition and access to capital. More than 150 inspiring speakers from 24 countries - from filmmakers to cooperative leaders – and exciting cooperatives that are making a difference and driving innovation.

The registration for attending the Congress in Seoul, closed on 11 November but you can still attend the Congress online from the comfort of your home or office! Save your seat and register by 22 November.

Why should I attend the World Cooperative Congress online? Here are a few good reasons.

Greater participation, diversity and inclusion

The hybrid nature of this event makes it available and accessible to more delegates from around the world. Those who cannot travel, can now attend and be a part of this historic event. By being an online participant you will be able to connect with a large group of cooperators -- with just one click. A larger, more diverse audience will be a key feature of this Congress!

You will never miss a session!

While the conference will take place in Seoul’s local time zone, Korean Standard Time (GMT+9), the sessions will be recorded. You can attend these sessions at your convenience during Congress, and they will be available for both online and in-person delegates for three months. You will not miss a thing!

Your voices will still be heard online

Online participants watching live sessions on their computer or mobile devices will be able to ask questions and participate in the discussions by submitting questions through the online platform. Those watching recorded sessions at a later time will still be able to submit questions, and the responses will arrive later and will be open for three months.

Online networking opportunities

The Congress will also be an opportunity to learn from, meet with and network with other cooperators. Online delegates will be able to take part in a range of virtual networking opportunities.

Interpretation available in four languages

Just like in the in-person version of the Congress, all sessions will be available in English, French, Spanish and Korean.

Registration fees

The cost of attending online is €200.
