This strategy sets out the International Cooperative Alliance’s vision and priorities for the period 2026 to 2030. Grounded in the Cooperative Identity and developed through a global participatory process, the strategy outlines how the cooperative movement will respond to today’s most pressing challenges—economic, social, environmental, and democratic.
The publication details a forward-looking roadmap based on three guiding principles:
- Practice: Living cooperative values in action
- Promote: Raising the visibility and appeal of the cooperative model
- Protect: Safeguarding cooperative identity, autonomy, and governance
Structured around five strategic pillars and supported by a clear Theory of Change, this strategy aims to strengthen cooperatives worldwide, expand their market share, and deepen their contribution to sustainable development.
