I’m a young Italian cooperator, dedicated to strengthening cooperation as a tool for empowerment, participation and sustainable development. Through my role as Project Manager at Haliéus, the NGO of Legacoop, I coordinate international cooperation projects across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, working with cooperative organizations and local communities to foster inclusive and sustainable development.
“Working with cooperatives has taught me that, while contexts may differ, people’s aspirations are often the same: to have a voice, to access opportunities, and to actively shape the future of their communities.” Through my experience supporting cooperative organizations around the world, I have witnessed how collective action can empower individuals, strengthen communities and create pathways for more inclusive and sustainable development.
These experiences have reinforced my belief that cooperation is not only a business model, but a powerful way to build resilient societies through participation, ownership and shared responsibility. I am committed to ensuring that young cooperators have meaningful spaces to participate, lead and contribute as conscious actors in addressing today’s global challenges. Young people are not only called upon to shape responses to these challenges but are also among those most affected by their consequences, from the impacts of climate change and social transformations to housing challenges, inequalities and the pursuit of peace.
I believe that by connecting ideas, cultures and generations, young people can help shape a more innovative, inclusive and future-oriented global cooperative movement.
