Co-operatives WA Conference 2012

Co-operatives WA and the University of WA Business School have joined forces to hold a marquee event in WA as part of the United Nations 2012 International Year of Co-operatives. The program theme is - Co-operatives in the Fourth Sector: The Role of Member Owned Businesses in the Global Economy. The Co-operatives WA Annual Conference has been a central meeting place for leaders and decision makers in co-operative enterprises for many decades. The 2012 WA Conference will see a continuation of that high level of interaction, education and networking with an infusion of national and international views as part of the IYC 2012 celebrations. Dr Fabio Chaddad of the University of Missouri is a 2012 Conference presenter and will up-date delegates on developments in the member owned/mutual sector since he spoke at the 2009 Conference. The University of WA Business School involvement will bring to this year’s event an international dimension through the Co-operative Research Exchange.
