Donation for the afflicted fishermen in the Philippines

The Korea National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives (KNFC) donated 50,910 dollars to the Cooperative Union of the Philippines for the afflicted fishermen by the super typhoon "HAIYAN" on 13 Dec.

The disaster brought huge damages to people in the affected areas killing about 7,600 people. The KNFC staff voluntarily donated some of their salaries for the fishermen in the Philippines. Mr. Edgardo Gamolo, CUP chairman, submitted a resolution authorizing the reactivation of the ICFO membership which had been an ICFO member before 2008.
