The Alliance is proud to announce that Linda Yueh will give the opening keynote speech at Co-operatives: Putting people at the centre of development, the Alliance’s Global Conference, which will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 14-16 November 2017.
One of the world’s outstanding economists, Dr Yueh is a fellow in economics at Oxford University, an adjunct professor of economics at the London Business School, and a visiting professor of economics at Peking University. She has advised the World Bank, the European Commission, the World Economic Forum and the Asian Development Bank, among many others.
She directs the China Growth Centre (CGC) at Oxford University, is an associate of the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts in the UK.
Dr Yueh is a contributor to British and American cable news networks and was named the BBC’s global chief business correspondent in April 2013. Previously, she was an international corporate lawyer and economics editor at Bloomberg TV, where she hosted the weekly show Economic Edge.
She has served as an advisor to the British government on the Economist Intelligence Unit executive briefing advisory board.
