International Day of Co-operatives - National Co-operative Council of Sri Lanka

On the occasion of the 2011 International Day of Co-operatives, Sri Lanka celebrated 100 years of cooperative existence as a legal identity, which was granted by the British Colonial Government in 1911, with the enactment of the first cooperative legislation.
