The official launch of CM50 and the Closing of IYC2025 will take place in Doha on 3–4 November 2025, alongside the World Social Summit: https://social.desa.un.org/world-summit-2025 . These landmark events will bring together cooperative leaders, governments, UN agencies, and international partners to celebrate achievements, launch new commitments, and shape the cooperative movement’s role in the post-2030 agenda.

The Closing Ceremony of IYC2025 will take place on 4 November from 11.30 to 12.45 at the Qatar National Convention Centre. Themed around the cooperative contribution to social justice, decent work, and sustainable development, the event will feature opening statements and keynote speeches by Heads of State and senior UN representatives, followed by the launch of the CM50 Manifesto and Commitment Plan by ICA President Ariel Guarco. A roundtable of cooperative leaders from key sectors—including agriculture, finance, housing, health, insurance, fisheries, consumer, and worker cooperatives—will showcase the movement’s global impact and innovation.

The ceremony will also include the official closing of IYC2025, with UN partners delivering closing messages, the launch of a special edition of the World Cooperative Monitor dedicated to IYC, and the presentation of the ICA’s 2026–2030 Global Strategy.
