Rami Mohammad Salameh Al-Kasassbeh is a Civil Engineer and Area Manager at the ‘Ai Municipality in Karak, Jordan, and serves as the Public Relations Director of the Smart Earth Cooperative Association. Passionate about youth empowerment and sustainable development, he has been actively promoting cooperative values through community-based initiatives that combine innovation, agriculture, and social impact.
Rami played a leading role in the preservation and promotion of the rare Moabian Saffron, helping create new opportunities for young people while safeguarding Jordan’s agricultural heritage. This initiative received the Royal Silver Jubilee Medal and introduced more than 100 young people to cooperative principles through practical engagement. He also represents Jordan in international discussions on cooperative development, including the FAO Virtual Meeting on Cooperative Development.
As a candidate for Member at Large representing the Asia and Pacific Region, Rami is committed to strengthening youth participation, fostering regional collaboration, and creating more opportunities for young cooperators to connect, learn, and lead together
within the global cooperative movement.
