As an appetizer for the V Summit of the Cooperatives in Buenos Aires (Argentina), more than 250 cooperators from 70 different countries worldwide participated in the 2018 ICA General Assembly. Ariel Guarco opened his first Assembly as President of the International Cooperative Alliance in his country with an engaged room full of cooperators.
A number of motions were approved including, the venue of the next General Assembly 2019 to be held in Kigali, Rwanda, a declaration on decent work and against harassment, the new ICA website was launched and the celebration of a 2020 World Cooperative Congress for the 125th Anniversary of the ICA.
