ICA Members are invited to the General Assembly of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) to be held on 29 November 2024 in New Delhi, India in conjunction with ICA’s Global Cooperative Conference. Online participation and voting will not be possible. The main agenda topics are expected to include:
- ICA’s global Strategic Plan: The General Assembly in Kigali adopted a ten-year Strategic Plan 2020-2030. This General Assembly will reflect on its’ benefits so far and lessons learned. The General Assembly will consider how to deliver more tangible and value-added solutions to the ICA member base from 2025-2030.
- Cooperative Identity Consultation and Recommendations: hear the results of the global consultation on the cooperative identity and consider recommendations from the Board of Directors intended to strengthen and protect our shared identity.
- Voting Rights: consider a proposal from the Board of Directors to change the way voting rights are assigned to Full Members of the ICA.
- Membership Fees: consider a new approach to setting membership fees for Full Members and Associate Members of the ICA.
- Articles of Association and Internal Rules: In order to comply with changes to the Belgian Companies Code, the ICA adopted new Articles of Association in 2023. The General Assembly will consider housekeeping changes to the Articles and Rules as well as changes to reflect the new method of assigning voting rights and setting membership fees.
- Report from the President: hear from ICA President Ariel Guarco, on his leadership over the past year.
- Report from the Director-General: hear from ICA’s Director-General about what has been done so far since he joined in January 2024.
