To enrich our conversations on cooperative identity in the run-up to the World Cooperative Congress, the ICA International Cooperative Entrepreneurship Think Tank (ICETT) is organising a series of online events in June.
1 June - What is Work? – Cooperatives’ response
How cooperatives can be a laboratory for developing and testing a new form of decent work, and quality employment in the future of work? Participants will share pioneering ideas and experiences on work and employment.
Under invitation only
3 June - Cooperatives for an Environmentally Just Future
To mark World Environment Day and acknowledging the role cooperatives play in the face of the pandemic, the discussion will highlight the thematic findings of the recently published World Cooperative Monitor. Participants will discuss practices and policies put in place by large cooperatives to protect the environment. Organised in collaboration with Euricse.
9 June - Ethical Value Chains: How Cooperatives Tackle Child Labour
To mark the International Day on Elimination of Child Labour, cooperatives will share case studies and practical recommendations on how to enhance and accelerate the progress of elimination of child labour. Organised in collaboration with the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
The events will be held in English and Spanish.
