The 2012 IYC National Conference is the premier event on the co-operative calendar, raising awareness about the important role of co-operatives and mutuals in the Australian economy. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Australian co-operatives to come together under the banner of an International Year to celebrate their success in business, produce and community. The 2012 IYC National Conference features more than 50 leading national and international co-operative thinkers for two days of stimulating debate and discussion examining the role of co-operatives in local economies, regional and agricultural development, the future of co-operative growth, new law and regulation, building stronger boards and the members of tomorrow. The Conference incorporates two highlights of the 2012 national co-operative calendar: the 2012 National Co-operative Leadership Awards, presented by Australian celebrity chef Maggie Beer; and the launch of the 2012 IYC Commemorative Year Book. Plus … Australia’s first Co-operative Youth Summit, the Trade Showcase and the Co-op Business Clinics will also be key features offering exciting marketing and business networking opportunities.
