2021 arrivals: ICA welcomes new member from Sri Lanka in January

The International Cooperative Alliance welcomed Matara District Cooperative Hospital Society from Sri Lanka as a new member in January 2021.

The Matara District Cooperative Hospital Society provides training services and advice to the country’s Hospital Cooperative Network, which was formed to provide medical services to rural marginalised communities.

The network provides health and wellbeing lifestyle advice and medical services to members and their families, as well as non-members. Other services offered include insurance, family health advice, self-development and savings.

Matara District Cooperative Hospital Society has over 3,800 members and 133 employees.

The ICA has now 318 member organisations, of which 275 are full members and 43 are Associate Members, from 112 countries.
