With the pandemic making businesses across the world adopt the digital sphere to keep operating, DotCooperation (DotCoop) is launching a "Digital Transformation" campaign to encourage cooperatives to fully embrace the online world.
To support the campaign, DotCoop has launched a new video produced in collaboration with Blake House cooperative.
The video will be used to promote the campaign on social media to inspire cooperatives to build an online identity while using the .coop domain.
Lance Wolak, Chief Marketing Officer of DotCooperation: “For 20 years we have been fostering and developing the .coop domain and our identity services, as the key identity assets for our global cooperative movement.
“DotCooperation has united the cooperative community through a shared online identity and platform where cooperative organisations can participate, inform, educate, and pioneer a path for others to join and support the cooperative movement.”
In addition to its role as the global steward of the cooperative marque and overseeing the management of the .coop domain name, DotCoop runs a Digital Empowerment Learning Hub. The hub provides online learning materials to guide cooperatives through their digital transformation and introduce those new to the movement to the seven cooperative principles and the wider cooperative movement. It also includes a series of presentations on online brand development, domain services best practices and a guide to Cooperative Identity Tools and Resources.
“As we are coming up to the ICA's Global Congress, now more than ever people are talking about the cooperative identity. We have the answer to the question ‘what is the cooperative identity?’ - It's our shared brand, and the more of us that adopt the brand, the stronger our collective voice will become,” said DotCooperation Community Development Manager, Tom Ivey.
DotCoop is the global steward of the .coop and .creditunion domains and the co-op marque. It is jointly owned by the National Cooperative Business Association (NCBA CLUSA) and the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA).
