The regional report for the region of Europe summarises the findings of the national reports completed in the region for the ICA-EU Partnership Legal Framework Analysis research. Authored by the regional expert for the study, Dr. Ifigeneia Douvitsa, the report provides an overview of the regional trends and common features in the region and highlights a number of recommendations for an improved enabling environment for cooperatives. Knowledge and evaluation of cooperative legislation is a tool for members to support advocacy and recommendations on the creation or improvement of legal frameworks, to document the implementation of cooperative legislation and policies, and to monitor their evolution.
