The research on cooperatives and young people under the ICA-EU Partnership aims to provide insights on which key challenges youth are facing; if and how cooperatives can help to address them; how cooperatives can reinforce their support to young people; and which specific mechanisms, capacity-building initiatives and targeted actions can empower young cooperators. This Paper outlines the central elements of the research, including key ways in which cooperatives can empower young people, as well as recommendations as to how the support from cooperatives can be improved.
