Born in Milan, Italy, in 1958, Simona Cavazzutti is a prominent agricultural businesswoman who has dedicated a large part of her life to promoting cooperativism. Married, with four children and six grandchildren, she has lived in Latin America for nearly 40 years. With a background in languages and specialized studies in social economy and cooperative leadership, she speaks five languages fluently. With a track record of more than 30 years in the trade association and cooperative sectors, she holds key positions such as president of the Confederation of Rural Cooperatives of Paraguay (CONCOPAR Ltda.) and the Sectoral Organization of Agricultural Cooperatives (REDACOOP), in addition to serving as vice president in several entities and member of the Board of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA). Her leadership and commitment reflect her deep conviction that cooperativism is the key to a more just and sustainable world.
