Mozambique to hold the 12th Africa Ministerial Cooperative Conference from 9-11 June 2026

08 May 2026

The International Cooperative Alliance Africa is hosting the 12th Technical Committee of the Africa Ministerial Cooperative Conference (TCAMCCO), from 9-11 June at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence in Maputo, Mozambique.

This annual forum will bring together cooperative leaders, policymakers, and technical experts from across the continent to advance dialogue and action on cooperative development in Africa.

Under the theme “Empowering Cooperatives for Sustainable Trade and Supply Chains in Africa,” the meeting will focus on positioning cooperatives as key drivers of inclusive, resilient, and sustainable trade within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

As Africa continues to deepen regional integration and industrialisation, cooperatives rooted in democratic governance and shared ownership remain central to unlocking opportunities for local enterprises and communities to participate in regional and global markets.

The event will also include the inaugural ICA Africa Cooperative Excellence Awards 2026, celebrating the leaders, organisations, and innovations shaping the future of the cooperative movement.

Awards will be presented across eight categories, including the most influential leaders, the top youth cooperative entrepreneurs and cooperative innovations. Find the full list and cast your vote here
