Join Gillian Lonergan, the Museum’s Head of Heritage Resources, for a peek into the history of 31 Toad Lane, the Rochdale Pioneers Museum on its journey from a woollen warehouse to the world famous birthplace of the co-operative movement which attracts visitors from all over the world. The building has undergone major changes at four times over the last two centuries including the recent development project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the session will look at some of the challenges experienced.
