On the occasion of the United Nations International Year of Cooperatives in 2025, the next ICA General Assembly will be hosted by the UK cooperative movement as part of a wider programme of cooperative activities, taking place from 2 to 5 July 2025 in Manchester, UK. The ICA General Assembly will take place on 2 July.

The main agenda topics for this General Assembly are expected to include:
- Audited Accounts 2024: for approval
- ICA’s global Strategic Plan: The General Assembly will adopt a revised Strategic Plan for the years 2026-2030.
- Amendments to the Articles of Association and Internal Rules of the General Assembly: The General Assembly will vote on amendments to the method of assigning voting rights and setting membership fees.
- Work Plan and Budget 2025
Online participation and voting will not be possible. Many of the proposed amendments to the Articles of Association will need to be formally adopted by members and signed by a Belgian notary.
The formal convening notice and representative and voter designation forms will be sent to members no later than 2 June and will include the final agenda. The principal documents necessary for the General Assembly deliberations will be sent to members no later than 18 June.
