Michael Herbert looks at women such as Frances Morrison Catherine Barmby and Margaret Chappelsmith, who wrote and lectured on the rights of women in the early Co-operative movement. Michael is a Trustee of the Working Class Movement Library in Salford. His book “Up Then Brave Women” Manchester’s Radical Women 1819-1918 was published in October 2012.
