Asia Pacific Workshop on Campus and Youth Cooperatives

The ICA-AP Committees on University/Campus Co-operatives [ICUC] and the ICA-AP Committee on Youth Cooperation [ICYC] are jointly organizing a Regional Workshop titled “Youth and Campus Co-operatives – Moving Toward Sustainable Growth and Development in the Co-operative Decade”, scheduled to be held on September 17-20, 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand. The 7th Annual Meeting of the Campus Co-operative Committee will be held on September 17, 2015 and the 8th Annual Meeting of the Youth Committee will be held on September 16, 2015. In the backdrop of the ongoing research ICA Blueprint in the run up to this Co-operative Decade, The ICA-AP Committees on university/campus co-operatives and youth cooperation decided to jointly explore ways to make co-operatives that are led and managed by young persons, sustainable for development and hubs of innovation. The workshop is designed to provide the youth, especially in the formal education sector, a platform to share their experiences and learn through an exchange of ideas cutting across ‘youth cooperation’ as a thematic area and co-operatives. The Workshop shall prepare action plans to be implemented by the regional committees of the ICA in the near future. Participants to the workshop will also make study visits to students led co-operatives in Bangkok and entries are welcome for the POSTER COMPETITION. Details can be found in the thread.
