Marie-Josée Paquette received a bachelor's degree from the Université du Québec en Outaouais.
She joined the cooperative and mutual movement in 2014, landing at the Conseil québécois de la coopération et de la mutualité. Her first role was as Senior Advisor, Communications and Government Relations, before being promoted to Director, Communications and Public Affairs. Since January 2021, she has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Conseil québécois de la coopération et de la mutualité. She is a board member of Cooperatives and mutuals Canada.
She served as Executive Director of the Office of the President of the ICA.
