Jumbo Fairtrade Tea Party

Jumbo Fairtrade Tea Party Wednesday 19 February 11am-3pm The Co-operative Wholesale Society began 150 years ago with a tea party at Jumbo Farm in Middleton. At our Jumbo Fairtrade Tea Party families can celebrate this anniversary and find out about Fairtrade today! There will be a wide range of activities for all ages including making a Play-Doh cake, hosting a mini tea party, decorating a Fairtrade cookie and making a Fairtrade badge. There will be the opportunity to find out about this year’s Fairtrade campaign ‘make bananas fair’ including the screening of short films and the chance to dress up in a banana suit! Grown-ups will also be able to enjoy a nice cup of Fairtrade tea or coffee and explore our new ArcHive learning resource ‘Trading with the world.’ Entry and most activities FREE. Some activities may have a small charge of 50p-£1.
